Vistec X-ray-detectable surgical sponges are sterile gauze sponges designed for use in operative and procedural settings. The built-in radiopaque element helps make the sponge detectable on X-ray imaging, while the 12-ply gauze construction provides absorbency. Each sponge measures approximately 8 x 4 inches, and this case contains 800 sterile sponges.
