The Siemens Healthineers RAPIDPoint 500 is a point-of-care blood gas analyzer that delivers blood gas, electrolyte, glucose, lactate, and full CO-oximetry results (including neonatal total bilirubin and total hemoglobin) from a single whole-blood sample in approximately 60 seconds. It supports multiple sample types, including whole blood, pleural fluid, and dialysate. The system uses a maintenance-free, cartridge-based design with automatic quality control, bio-safe hands-free automatic sampling, and built-in clot detection and management.
