Hope Clinic Spotlight Story

Hope Clinic Spotlight Story

Providing Specialized Care Through the Power of Community

For thousands of uninsured Utahns, Hope Clinic provides access to healthcare that might otherwise be out of reach. Through a dedicated network of volunteers, the clinic provides both primary and specialty care at no cost to patients.

During our recent visit, we had the opportunity to learn more about the clinic, the patients they serve, and how Globus Relief can continue supporting their work through donated medical supplies.

A Community Built on Service

Hope Clinic has been serving Utah’s uninsured population for more than two decades and has grown into one of the state’s largest volunteer-run medical clinics.

Today, Hope Clinic provides around 10,000 patient visits each year and cares for more than 200 patients every week. The clinic is supported by 225 volunteers and operates without paid employees.

Patients can receive care across 17 medical specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, cardiology, women’s health, physical therapy, laboratory services, and primary care. This allows patients to access many different types of care in one place without the financial barriers that can come with being uninsured.

Helping Resources Go Further

Providing this level of care requires more than volunteer healthcare professionals. Hope Clinic also depends on a consistent supply of medical products and equipment.

Through nonprofitmedicalsupply.org, Globus Relief helps Hope Clinic access donated medical supplies that support its day-to-day operations. Supplies provided through our partnership have included BSI materials, wound care supplies, orthopedic braces and splints, Chux pads, and surgical supplies.

By reducing the amount spent on these supplies, Hope Clinic can keep more of its resources focused directly on caring for patients.

Strengthening Utah’s Healthcare Safety Net

Hope Clinic is an important part of Utah’s healthcare safety net, helping provide care to people who may otherwise have limited access to medical services.

Globus Relief is working to support organizations like Hope Clinic by connecting donated medical supplies from healthcare providers with nonprofit clinics that can put those resources to use.

We are grateful to continue our partnership with Hope Clinic and support the work their volunteers are doing to provide accessible healthcare throughout our community.
